Cole M. au Canada - Journal

My first stop was Calgary. It was a pretty long drive. I believe it was nine long hours. When I was there I stayed at one of my Mom's best friend's house and she showed us some of Calgary's main attractions, like the Olympic Saddledome (where the Flames play), the Prehistoric park (where there are life size dinosaur models) at the Calgary zoo and the Calgary's Centre Performing Arts drawn I think by Mrs Rudko. Then I went to the Stampede. I heard that each year they invited the world for their famous stampede. There was bronco busting, calf roping and wild cow milking. I asked lots of Calgarians and all of them said that the champion chuck wagon race was the best event! Where else do Calgarians go to have fun? I heard there was a football team named the Stampeders. They play at MaMahon stampede, on the northern edge of the city. So I went to one of the games with my Mom. The Stampeders beat the B.C. Lions 10-5! After that I said good bye to Calgary. I am on my way to Vancouver!
