Nicholas au Canada - Journal 2

Dear Journal,
When I went to Dawson I had to drive to Vancouver and then take the plane and whe I gtot to Dawson I went to my hotel. I heard some peole talking about Bonanza Creet. I went into the hotel and I sai, "Can you cancel my stay?" Luckily I brought my camping gear I got directions from the people outside atBonanza Creek. I went into the hotel and I said, "can you cancel my stay". Luckily I brought my camping gear. I got directions to the campsite from the people outside. There was a place where you could rent some gold panning supplies. I bought a goldpan so I would be able to sieve the creek beds and hopefully find gold. I found an old miner who sais he had been mining the creek beds for many years now. I didn't think he looked like a millionaire. I panned for the rest of the day. It was hard on the back bending over the creek for hours on end. After 2 hours I had only a sprinkle of gold flakes to show for all my hard work. Gold panning is a little dissapointing.
The next day I went to the museum and I learned that Dawson was the capital city until 1951.the townsite was named in january 1897 after famous canadian geologist George Mercer Dawson. What an intersting few days. I will write next from Toronto.
